はなのみち The Path of Flowers
くまさんが、ふくろをみつけました。
Kuma-san (The Bear) found a bag.
「おや、なにかな。いっぱい はいっている。」
"Oh, what's this? It's full."
くまさんが、ともだちのりすさんに、ききにいきました。
Kuma-san went to ask his friend Risu-san (The Squirrel).
くまさんが、ふくろをあけました。
Kuma-san opened the bag.
なにも ありません。
There was nothing inside.
「しまった。あなが あいていた。」
"Oh no. The hole was open."
あたたかい かぜが ふきはじめました。
A warm wind began to blow.
ながい ながい、はなの いっぽんみちが できました。
A long, long path of flowers was made.
つぼみ Buds
いろいろな はなの つぼみを みて みましょう。
Let's look at various flower buds.
さきが ねじれた つぼみです。これは、なんの つぼみでしょう。
This is a bud with twisted tips. What kind of bud is this?
これは、あさがおの つぼみです。
This is a morning glory bud.
ねじれた ところが ほどけて、だんだんと ひろがって いきます。
As the twisted part untangles, it gradually opens up.
そして、まるい はなが さきます。
And then, round flowers bloom.
おおきく ふくらんだ つぼみです。これは、なんの つぼみでしょう。
This is a large, swollen bud. What kind of bud is this?
これは、はすの つぼみです。
This is a lotus bud.
いちまい いちまいの はなびらが、はなれて いきます。
Each petal separates and spreads out.
そして、さまざまな ほうこうに ひろがって、はなが さきます。
And then, they spread out in various directions, and flowers bloom.
ふうせんのような かたちをした つぼみです。これは、なんの つぼみでしょう。
This is a bud shaped like a balloon. What kind of bud is this?
これは、ききょうの つぼみです。
This is a balloon flower bud.
さきの ほうから いつつに わかれて、ひらいて いきます。
Starting from the top, it divides into five parts and opens up.
そして、とちゅうからは つながったまま、はなが さきます。
And then, while remaining connected from the middle, the flowers bloom.
