くもが いる。
おおきい くも。
こわい。
「くもは ええむしやから ころしあら あかん」と おかあさんが いう。
わたしも くもを ころす ゆうきなんか ない。
せんめんじょに いる。
ときどき おふろばに いどうしてる。
でんきを つけたら いた。
びっくりした。
くもも びっくりしてる。
さかさまに なっても へいきみたい。
なんかいも あうので なまえを つけた。
もいち。
くもの もいち。
にげるとき もいちの あしは バネみたい。
あしが ８ほんも ある もいち。
きょうは あめ。
もいちは でてこない。
どこかで おひるねしてるのかな。
きょうは はれ。
そとで みずやり。
もいちも はな すきかな。
こっちに きたら さけんで しまうけど
じっとしてる もいちは かわいい。
くもは こわい。
だけど まえより ちょっとだけ こわくなくなった。
もいちの おかげ。

### Moichi the Spider (くものもいち KUMO NO MOICHI)
There is a spider.
A big spider.
Scary.
"Spiders are good insects, so you shouldn't kill them," says my mother.
I don't have the courage to kill a spider anyway.
It’s in the washroom.
Sometimes it moves to the bathroom.
When I turned on the light, it was there.

The spider was also surprised.
It seems fine even when upside down.
I see it so often that I named it.
Moichi.

When it runs away, Moichi’s legs are like springs.
Moichi has eight legs.
Today it’s raining.
Moichi doesn’t come out.
Is it napping somewhere?
Today it’s sunny.
I’m watering the plants outside.
I wonder if Moichi likes flowers too.
If it comes near me, I would scream.
But when Moichi stays still, it’s cute.
Spiders are scary.
But they are a little less scary than before.
