きょうは こぐまちゃんの たんじょうび
Today is Little Bear's birthday.
ぼく ３さいに なったんだよ
"I'm three years old now!"
こぐまちゃんは ひとりで おきます
Little Bear wakes up by himself.
はみがきも ちゃんと します
He brushes his teeth properly.
かおも ちゃんと あらいます
He washes his face properly.
ふくも ひとりで きがえます
He even changes his clothes by himself.
ぼく なんでも できるよ
"I can do anything!"
だけど ぼたんを かけるのは むずかしいよ
But buttoning his shirt is difficult.
おかあさんに かけて もらうんだ
So, his mom helps him with that.
あさごはんです
It's time for breakfast.
すこし こぼすけど すぷーんも つかえます
He spills a little, but he can use a spoon.
たべたら かたづけます
After eating, he cleans up.
おさらも こっぷも すぷーんも
Plates, cups, and spoons too.
こぐまちゃんは えを かくのが だいすきです
Little Bear loves drawing pictures.

すなあそびも すきです
He also loves playing in the sand.
おやまを つくったり とんねるを ほったり
He makes mountains and digs tunnels.
しろくまちゃんと いっしょに こうえんに いきます
Together with Shirokuma-chan, they go to the park.
きょうは ぼくの たんじょうび
"Today is my birthday.
ぼく ３さいに なったんだ
I'm three years old now!"
たかい てつぼう できるかな ぽん
"Can I do the high bar?" Jump!
どすん こぐまちゃんは くやしそう
Thud! Little Bear looks frustrated.
