(Exchange)
ふしぎな できごとが おこりました。
A strange event happened.
「はあ、べんきょう いやだなあ。」
"Sigh, I don't like studying."
（ぼくに そっくりだ。）
(He looks just like me.)
「きみは だれ。」
"Who are you?"
「ぼくは、ようちえんせいの けんご。きみは？」
"I'm Kengo, a kindergarten student. Who are you?"
「ぼくは、しょうがっこう 一ねんせいの けんご。」
"I'm Kengo, a first grader in elementary school."
「いいなあ。しょうがっこう。」
"Wow, elementary school sounds great."
「ねえ、きょうだけ とりかえっこ して くれない？」
"Hey, could we trade places just for today?"
「いいよ。」
"Sure."
「わあ。すなばも ブランコも きょねんの ままだ。」
"Wow! The sandbox and the swings are just like they were last year."
「この ダンス しってるよ。ダンス だいすき。」
"I know this dance! I love dancing."

「さようなら。」
"Goodbye."
「あ。しょうがっこう、どうだった？」
"Hey, how was elementary school?"
「しょうがっこうって、すごいね。たのしいね。」
"Elementary school is amazing. It was so much fun."
「え。べんきょう、たいへんじゃない？」
"Really? Isn't studying hard?"
「ぜんぜん。さんすうは、おはじきを つかって かんがえたんだ。わかる ことって たのしいね。やすみじかんは、みんなで いっしょに あそんだよ。あたらしい ともだちも できたよ。しょうがっこうで、すごく しんかした きぶんだよ。」
"Not at all. We used counting chips for math, and figuring things out was fun. During break time, I played with everyone together. I even made new friends. I feel like I grew a lot today at elementary school."

(Today, I feel—)
「ねえ、あしたも とりかえっこ して くれる？」
"Hey, can we trade places again tomorrow?"
「だめだよ。あしたは、ぼくが しょうがっこうに いくんだから。」
"No way! Tomorrow, I’m going to elementary school!"
